    UBCO DUTY

    DUTY2

In collaboration with Australia Post, UBCO has now introduced a fleet of electric motorbikes into service across Australia.

For the past two years, we have been working with Australia Post to design a new generation bike. We're calling it the DUTY Electric Fleet Motorbike.

With a top speed of 95 kph, the rear-wheel drive DUTY is designed to handle both rider and cargo, comfortably carrying up to 160 kg with a range of 100 km.

The focus for DUTY will initially be aimed at large fleets. This will not be available in retail in the immediate future.

2X2 ADV SR Brakes - Hunt Kit now available

    SR Hunt Kit

In recent months, UBCO has noticed a growing demand for the Hunt Kit on the 2X2 Adventure Bike with SR Brakes. After speaking with consumers, we’ve received feedback that not all hunters require the System 2 brakes when navigating forestry trails and similar terrain.

Available now is the 2X2 ADV SR Brakes - Hunt Kit

The Hunt Kit includes the following:

    • 2X2 ADV SR Brakes
      • Front Cargo Deck
      • Rear Cargo Deck
      • Lever Guards
      • Gun/Bow Mounts
      • Centre Carry-all
      • Extra Kickstand
      • Mud Tyres

Dealer Orders | At this stage, this order cannot be placed through the B2B portal and needs to be emailed directly to sales@ubcobikes.com

    R&D Update | Current Trials

Over the past 12 months, UBCO has focused on identifying opportunities to further enhance the 2X2.

Since September 2023, this has included trialing a range of in-field solutions that focus on:

    • Metal Planetary gears
    • Motor spacers
    • The motor axle seal
    • Axle fasteners/ Wedge washers with flange axle nuts
    • Lubrication/ Motor gear grease.

Metal Gear testing | UBCO has been working with a dairy farming customer to trial a 'Development bike' to relieve the frequent breakdowns experienced with his previous two bikes. The customer was asked to use the test bike primarily for daily farm operations.

The most recent inspection of the 'Development bike' took place in August 2024, with the total operating time recorded at 660h 52m (the bike began the trial with 66h 55m). Over this period the bike completed three services, and no failed parts were found. The bike experienced almost 600 hours under normal dairy farming conditions over the last 12 months.

UBCO now has eight bikes across New Zealand being used in similar trials. In the coming months, we will be able to report back on the results. If the trials are successful, these upgrades will be made available to all customers as in-field upgrades.

Fork | With the launch of the DUTY, UBCO has developed a new fork which has:

    • More durable dust rubbers
    • Improved seals
    • Improved surface finish on stanchions.

In the last two weeks, we have started farm trials with this new fork on the G5 2X2. Testing will continue and we will report results in due course.

Rear dampers | Investigating more durable options and will commence trials.

UBCO introduces Promoboxx | Marketing tool

What is it? Promoboxx provides dealers with professional and engaging digital content from UBCO. This includes Facebook and Instagram posts, a downloadable content library, and more!

This is free to sign up and get involved.

How does it work? There are two options for managing content from UBCO:

    1. Auto-Share Posting: This allows UBCO to automatically post on your social channels. We won't take over your accounts and will only schedule 1-2 posts per month as needed (e.g. Fieldays promotion). Your team can still edit the schedule if required, but with this auto-share option most of the work is already done for you. UBCO will only post content relevant to your market i.e. if commuting is not your target market, we will not post any content relevant to commuting.
    2. Notification and Publish: Alternatively, we can send an email notification when a new campaign is available. You can then log in to preview the content, customise the message for your dealership, and publish it directly through Promoboxx, which integrates with your social channels.

Keen to get your dealership involved? Email sales@ubcobikes.com
